NEXT OCTOBER

IGAL WACHS

The 7th of October 2023 was the day that everything changed. Eitan Segal, one of the Co-Founders, and his family were residents of Nativ Ha’asara. Nativ Ha’asara was one of the places that were effected by the brutal attack that happened.

Igal Wachs was one of the brave people of Nativ Ha’asara that took arms and set out that day to protect the inhabitants of this community. Tragically, he died that day but his actions saved many others.

NESS Fertigation chose to collaborate with Next October movement and commemorate the memory of Igal Wachs.

Igal Wachs

Igal Wachs, 53,  was a the eldest of four brothers. He was a dual american-israeli citizen who grew up in Nativ Ha’asara. For several years before the attack, he returned to his childhood community and was there to help. Neighbours and friends said that he was always generous and there to give a helping hand to those in need.

Igal has one son, Jonathan, who was 10 at the time of his death. For most, he will be remembered to the great extent that he loved his son.

He was a project manager for Hazera Seeds, and during his time there managed to bring people together. As a hobby, he loved to create new things from wood, or metal or whatever material that came handy.
