
Plants are affected quickly by changes in water salinity rate. Because of this, averaging fertilization is not effective. Furthermore, regular pumps have over 50% fertilizers leakage into the ground without being used by the plants. Soils with a high concentration of fertilizers and of salts stress the plants and affect their vitality. As a result, yields are greatly impacted causing less production.
NESS Fertigation is based on innovative fertigation principles coupled to a unique system that reduces fertilizer-induced plants stress. The core of our innovation is in the pumps system that enhances fertilizers absorption at each growing stage of the plants. Additionally, we use several solar-powered soil sensors at varying depths to detect how much fertilizers and water to use, or to check if correct amounts of fertilizers and water are present in the soil.
The use of multiple soil sensors allows for measuring the time that water travels from the surface to the plant’s roots. With these information, the timing of an irrigation period can be adjusted rapidly as the system changes quantities and timing by itself.

Basic NESS platform

A sensor array will be installed within each field. Our basic sensor kit includes soil sensors, plant sensors and environmental sensors.
With the data from the sensors, the system will detect the fertilizer needs of the plants and will adjust the pump system automatically to comply with the changing needs of the plant.
If required, we are able to incorporate more sensors depending on your needs.
